KISSS In Organic Vineyards
Published by KISSS Irrigation - 8 June 2014
In May this year 10,000m of KISSS Wrap was installed into an organic vineyard in south western NSW, Australia. It was installed .5m( 20”) out from the vine row and 200mm (8”) deep . The KISSS Wrap will provide a deep wetting pattern in that sandy clay loam up to 1.2m(4’) wide and down to the roots at a deeper level.
KISSS will not wet the soil surface so the weed germination will be greatly reduced compared to surface drip which is really important in an organic vineyard . In the next year the same grower wants to use KISSS Flat in between rows so that every second row will have irrigation allowing the alternative row for traffic which will reduce compaction.
